Reports indicate that Kazakhstan’s National Railway Company has reduced transit tariffs for Kazakh flour and grain products to Afghanistan by 40%.
Officials from Kazakhstan’s Temir Zholy company announced that Uzbekistan has decided to lower the transit tariffs for Kazakh wheat to Afghanistan. This move aims to enhance trade and economic relations and increase cargo volumes.
The decision, made following negotiations between Kazakhstan’s National Railway Company and Kazakhstan’s Railway Authority in Almaty, will result in a 40% reduction in tariffs. The products will be transported via the Oysez border route.
Both parties emphasized that the increased capacity of the Saryagash border route, which has seen a 50% increase in capacity, will fully meet the demands of freight carriers and traders.
