According to Tasnim News Agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Steve Whitkoff, U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoy for the Middle East, are scheduled to hold indirect talks today in Muscat, the capital of Oman, regarding Iran’s nuclear program.
This follows earlier meetings between the two sides, held a week ago in Rome, the capital of Italy, and a week prior to that in Muscat on a Saturday. Both sides have described the discussions over the past two weeks as effective.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Time magazine on Friday that an agreement with Iran would be reached. However, he reiterated his warning that if negotiations fail, military action remains on the table.
