Following the killing of General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, in an Israeli attack, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has appointed Habibollah Sayyari as the new Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.
Khamenei also appointed Ahmad Wahidi as Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) after the killing of Hossein Salami.
Today’s Israeli attacks on Iran also killed several other senior military commanders and key officials, including the two mentioned above.
