The Associated Press reported that a Pentagon inspector general’s report found that the war with Iran has significantly depleted US stockpiles of advanced weapons and created challenges in replenishing ammunition supplies.
According to the report, Iranian attacks damaged or destroyed hundreds of US buildings and military facilities across several Middle Eastern countries. Dozens of US drones and other aircraft were also damaged or destroyed.
The report noted that up to 30 MQ 9 Reaper drones have so far been destroyed.
According to Pentagon figures, the war had cost about $37.5 billion by the end of July.
