Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), reported that Iranian forces shot down a U.S. military drone in Iranian airspace earlier this morning.
According to the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, the drone had entered Iran’s territorial airspace as part of what it described as a “hostile operation” and was immediately targeted and destroyed.
The IRGC warned that Iran’s airspace remains under full control and stated that any violation of its sovereignty would be met with a firm response.
So far, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
