Afghanistan’s Islamic Emirate spokesperson, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, reported that Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Dr. Seyed Abbas Araghchi, who visited Kabul leading a high-level delegation. During the meeting, both sides discussed a range of important issues.
Mujahid welcomed Minister Araghchi and his delegation, emphasizing the need for increased visits between the two neighboring Muslim nations to strengthen their diplomatic, political, and economic relations.
Minister Araghchi highlighted the historical, religious, and economic ties between Afghanistan and Iran. He expressed satisfaction over the restoration of comprehensive security in Afghanistan after four decades of turmoil. He also noted that the acceptance of diplomats at a high level and the maintenance of these relationships indicate Iran’s strong and supportive ties with Afghanistan’s Islamic Emirate.
