Deputy spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, states that the claims made by the U.S. regarding billions and millions of dollars in aid to the Islamic Emirate are completely false and strongly rejected.
Mr. Fitrat added that the reality is the U.S. has not given even a penny to the Islamic Emirate; instead, they have seized and frozen billions of dollars belonging to the people of Afghanistan. He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate neither expects nor has ever requested any aid from the U.S.
The deputy spokesperson further added that the funds mentioned by the U.S. were actually expenses mostly spent on the retreat and withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan or on the relocation and resettlement of those Afghans who fled the country with them.
According to Mr. Fitrat, the U.S. has provided some funds in the name of humanitarian aid to international organizations for Afghanistan, but these have all been used to achieve their own goals and have not addressed the needs of the Afghan people.
The Islamic Emirate seeks the U.S. to stop these funds as well.
