Justice Minister Sheikh Abdul Hakim Shariai: We Will Fulfill Our Duties Without Fear or Favor, Holding All Oppressors and Corrupt Individuals Accountable Regardless of Position, Tribe, Belief, or Faith
Justice Minister Sheikh Abdul Hakim Shariai has strongly rejected allegations from certain groups and biased media claiming that his supposed son, Osman, had opened an office for the New Kabul project, clarifying that he does not have a son by that name.
Sheikh Abdul Hakim Shariai stated that he does not intend to waste time responding to propaganda platforms like Afghanistan International; however, for the sake of public clarity, he stressed that he has no son named Osman and that none of his sons run any commercial offices.
The justice minister also rejected claims that any land is registered in his wife’s name, clarifying that no property in his family has ever been, nor is currently, registered under a woman’s name. He added that even if such ownership did exist, there would be no Sharia or customary prohibition against it.
Referring to the case concerning the recovery of usurped land from former parliament member of the fallen republic, Mohammad Mirza Katawazi, Sheikh Shariai stated that individuals of all ethnicities, languages, and beliefs will be held accountable, and any public treasury assets they have unlawfully taken will be reclaimed and restored to the treasury.
Sheikh Abdul Hakim Shariai, under whose leadership a record amount of usurped state land and public assets has been returned to the national treasury, emphasized that the efforts to stop land usurpation and fully recover seized properties will be completed.
He further pointed out that certain individuals who have long violated the rights of the people and embezzled public funds are now trying to justify their actions by making accusations rooted in ideological, ethnic, or linguistic bias.
The justice minister stressed that in fulfilling his duties, he answers to no one. Any oppressor or corrupt individual, regardless of their position, ethnicity, ideology, or faith, will be held fully accountable under the law.
