    Kabul and Tokyo Stress Expanding Cooperation in Environmental Technology

    Afghanistan’s National Environmental Protection Authority reported that in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, its Director General, Mawlawi Matiul Haq Khalis, met with Japan’s Deputy Minister of the Environment, Kentaro.

    The source noted that both sides reviewed the current environmental situation in Afghanistan and stressed the need to expand bilateral cooperation in environmental technologies.

    The authority added that Japan’s deputy Minister of the Environment expressed readiness to take part in environmental programs in Afghanistan.
