Security forces in Khost province’s Tani district have arrested a three-member gang involved in rickshaw theft. Two days ago, the group severely injured a rickshaw driver in a knife attack before stealing his rickshaw.

According to a statement from the Khost Police Command’s press office, the suspects had stolen another rickshaw from a citizen a week earlier, along with a sum of money and various valuable items. They were also involved in multiple other robberies.

The arrested individuals have confessed to their crimes, and further investigations may reveal their involvement in additional offenses.

The source added that both stolen rickshaws and a portion of the stolen money were recovered and returned to their rightful owners by Mawlawi Noor Malik Zahid, the district’s head of counter-crimes department.
