Police in Laghman province’s Ali Shing District carried out targeted operations and searches in the Necha Laam area of Saigal Drah, leading to the arrest of four individuals suspected of transporting illegal weapons and ammunition.
The Ministry of Interior reported that authorities recovered four Kalashnikov rifles, eight magazines, three hand grenades, a base radio, a daytime binocular, an inactive rocket launcher, and roughly 10 kilograms of opium from the arrested individuals.
The ministry confirmed that the detainees have been handed over to the relevant judicial authorities for legal proceedings.
