On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, the leadership of the Interim Government, in a speech during the Eid prayer at the Eidgah Mosque in Kandahar, highlighted the importance of unity and solidarity among Muslims, particularly Afghans.
In his address, the leader urged Muslims and Afghans to move beyond personal desires, past wrongs, and enmities, and to adopt a new path of unity and brotherhood for the elevation of Islam.
The leadership stated: “Purify your hearts, forgive one another, move beyond past wrongs, resolve yout conflicts, become brothers, unite as one body, and abandon disputes.”
The leadership also emphasized that Muslims should refrain from seeking revenge against one another, pointing out that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) himself opposed vengeance. It was stressed that past grievances and conflicts should be eliminated.
