Joseph Aoun said the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon remains a national objective and made clear that Beirut will not accept any arrangement that allows the continued presence of the Zionist occupation in the south.
He stressed that engagement with the Zionist regime should not be viewed as surrender, but as a legitimate step to safeguard Lebanon’s sovereignty.
He added that the Lebanese state has already taken key decisions aimed at restoring full national sovereignty, reaffirming that the liberation of southern Lebanon remains a firm and non-negotiable priority with no alternative.
He also strongly condemned the continued aggressions by the Zionist regime on Lebanese territory, along with its ongoing occupation of several villages in the south.
