Local officials in Panjshir Province have announced the launch of the licensing process for the extraction of 66 types of minerals in the province.
According to the officials, under a recent decree by the leadership of the Afghan government and the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum’s new procedures, the extraction of various precious stones, along with emeralds and rubies, has been facilitated through newly introduced measures.
It is worth noting that the extraction of beryl and green garnet is currently underway in Panjshir, providing employment opportunities for approximately 200 people.
