American media report that an unidentified individual used artificial intelligence to mimic the voice of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, successfully engaging in conversations with several high-ranking officials.

According to the reports, the man contacted three foreign ministers, a state governor, and a member of Congress.

While these deceptive attempts began in mid-June, details have only recently been made public.

The fake communications were reportedly carried out through the Signal messaging app and fake government email accounts.
