Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met in Kabul with Johannes Bruwer, the newly appointed head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Afghanistan, and received a copy of his credentials.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Muttaqi wished the new Red Cross head success on the occasion of the beginning of his new mission in Afghanistan and assured him of all necessary cooperation for the effective advancement of his work.
At the same time, the new head of the Red Cross expressed satisfaction over the start of his mission in Afghanistan and pledged that during his tenure, he would continue providing humanitarian services in close coordination with the relevant Emirate institutions.
