    Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi Meets Omani Foreign Minister to Discuss Bilateral Political and Economic Relations

    Deputy Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, stated in a press release that Acting Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with his Omani counterpart during his visit to Oman. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral political, economic, and social relations.

    According to the statement, Muttaqi highlighted key achievements of the Afghan government, including the end of decades of conflict, the establishment of balanced relations with regional and international partners, and the consolidation of nationwide security.

    He described the current situation in Afghanistan as a “prime opportunity” for Omani investors and expressed gratitude to Muscat for facilitating the operations of the Afghan embassy.

    The statement also quoted the Omani Foreign Minister as reaffirming his country’s commitment to expanding bilateral ties with Afghanistan. He emphasized that meetings between the two foreign ministries would continue to explore and implement opportunities for further cooperation.
