The Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met with his Uzbek counterpart Asilbek Khudayarov and his accompanying delegation at the provincial governor’s office in Balkh province.
The Ministry of Public Health stated that the meeting focused on strengthening healthcare cooperation, capacity building of medical specialists, ensuring the supply of essential factors for hemophilia patients, guaranteeing quality control of food and medicines, and facilitating visa arrangements for patients.
The ministry added that joint technical teams will be formed to implement these issues, and necessary actions will be taken in the future.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, officials also invited representatives of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical factories to invest in drug production in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Health, Asilbek Khudayarov, assured Afghan health officials of cooperation in the mentioned areas.
