Members of the Resistance Council in the Quagmire of Disputes

After the fifth Vienna meeting and the Herat Security Dialogue, the rifts and disagreements among opposition groups residing abroad have widened even further. These disputes and intense conflicts, which were previously attempted to be kept hidden, have now reached the media. The opponents are fiercely attacking each other and, under the pretext of personal goals, are confronting and opposing each other, threatening one another.

In the context of these criticisms and remarks, Ata Mohammad Noor, a member of the leadership of the opposition group based abroad known as the High Resistance Council, has sharply criticized those who are based abroad but incite people in Afghanistan to war and conflict. In an interview with a media outlet, he challenged those politicians who prefer a peaceful life abroad with their families but encourage others’ children to go to war. According to him, if they truly favor this war, they should come themselves and send their sons to it. Meanwhile, another member of the council’s leadership, Yunus Qanuni, has emphasized the war and stated that they will achieve significant accomplishments this year.

The internal conflicts, disagreements, and rifts among the groups and factions based abroad are not new; rather, these conflicts and disagreements have been present since the early days of their activities. They have even reached a critical state due to these conflicts and disagreements, and the new fronts and factions have increased significantly because of their disputes. However, they and their foreign supporters have tried to hide all of this from the people and the media. But now it seems that this issue has reached a level where it can no longer be concealed.

The main reasons for their opposition are, first, that they bring the fire of war to Afghanistan, each trying not to be left behind in this caravan, each trying to find supporters and financiers abroad for the Afghan war and the bloodshed of Afghans. The second issue is the widespread financial and moral corruption that these groups and factions have, each trying to put the money received from financiers into their personal pockets, to provide a better living for themselves and their families.

Another reason for their disagreements is that they initially made grand promises to foreigners, foreign intelligence agencies, criminal networks, international mafias, smugglers, arms dealers, and other war-hungry countries and organizations, claiming they had millions of popular supporters in Afghanistan and that if these entities provided them with resources, they would soon start a war in Afghanistan, thereby compensating for their support and securing their interests. However, now they are increasingly failing to keep their promises to their financiers, their true faces are becoming apparent to them, and as a result, they are losing their trust and support day by day. This situation has left them in a dire state; their goals are lost, their friends and enemies are lost, their tribes and clans are lost, their homeland and values are lost, and ultimately, they have lost themselves. This chaotic and desperate state has led them to conflict among themselves.

This life, filled with anxiety, wandering, hardship, and misery, was planned by them for the people and the nation of Afghanistan. But now, on the contrary, they are caught in their own trap, unable to free themselves or break the trap. This is almost the beginning of a reverse moment and game, and this series is expanding further. If, God forbid, they had succeeded in regaining power in Afghanistan, they would have been embroiled in internal conflicts like in the past, and the blood of ordinary and innocent Afghans would have been shed everywhere. But the people showed their awakening and awareness, they stood against them from the very beginning, did not stop beside them, and did not allow them to create a ground for trade and transactions over the homeland and values. With this reasonable and wise decision, they saved themselves from eternal misfortune.
