Arabi 21 reports that Meta, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and several other social media platforms, has removed more than 90,000 posts and accounts since the start of the October 7 conflict between the Hamas movement and the Zionist regime of Israel.
According to the report, the removals were carried out following official requests from the Israeli government. The deleted content included posts expressing support for Palestine and the Hamas movement, as well as material critical of the Zionist regime.
