The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock announced in a press release that a consultative meeting took place between Acting Minister Ataullah Omari and Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nooruddin Azizi, to discuss meat exports to foreign countries.

Mr. Omari highlighted that over 80% of Afghans are engaged in agriculture and livestock, emphasizing that meat exports could be profitable as long as they do not harm livestock breeding.

He stressed the need to focus on increasing livestock production and breeding domestically before organizing high-quality exports.

The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce added that several countries are interested in importing meat from Afghanistan. He pointed out that increasing sheep farming and establishing favorable export conditions would enable livestock farmers to generate better income.
