According to a report by the Iranian news agency Mashreq, U.S. President Donald Trump, during a press conference at the White House, announced that he had reversed his proposal to forcibly expel Palestinian citizens from Gaza.
Trump also stressed that no Gaza resident would be forced to leave their home.
The plan to remove Palestinians from Gaza and resettle them in other countries faced international backlash after Trump unveiled it in January. He had repeatedly made statements about the U.S. exercising control over Gaza and potentially acquiring it.
