    Ministry of Mines and Petroleum: Contracts Signed for Extraction of 36 Large and Small Mines Worth $1.3 Billion Last Year

    The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced that last year, it signed agreements for the extraction of 36 large and small mines, with a total value of $1.3 billion.

    Ministry spokesperson Homayoun Afghan stated that among these, 10 are major mines worth $380 million, while the remaining 26 are smaller mines, most of which have been awarded to Afghan investors, with a total financial scope of two billion Afghanis.

    According to officials, these projects include the extraction of cement, salt, and marble.

    The ministry further stated that the agreements were signed with both domestic and international companies.
