The recent incident in the Yiftal district of Badakhshan and the immediate arrest of the perpetrators in the early hours have once again caused some opponents and foreign circles to celebrate prematurely over the past few days. Exaggerating such confusing incidents and drawing conclusions about the destabilization of the government from them shows the opponents’ ignorance of the ground realities. A brief moment of destability in a district or the claim of destabilizing a point for a few moments can never shake the pillars of a dominant and stable government.

Moreover, this mindset persists in our neighboring country, particularly within Pakistan’s intelligence circles, and they attempt to portray the Afghan government as unstable thru propaganda. Pakistan itself is grappling with countless internal, economic, and security challenges; therefore, it tries to give its mercenaries imaginary hopes thru such propaganda. But the truth is that their analyzes and propaganda are not based on ground realities, but rather on their own ideological aspirations and political objectives.

Opponents believe that such minor incidents will reunite their scattered ranks, give them the courage to take up arms, and challenge the government; but this has been a known mirage over the past five years. In the past five years, it has been seen that instead of moving forward, the opponents has become even more immersed in conflicts, internal disagreements, and fantasies. Their failed meetings did not bring them unity and public support, but rather reduced their hope of finding a place among the people to zero.

If we look at the logical and practical realities, the current Afghan government generally enjoys effective security management, centralized command, and broad territorial control. The incident in Yiftal and the immediate arrest of the perpetrators afterward, alongside spreading fear among the enemy, demonstrate the government’s high intelligence and swift security response. Governments do not collapse due to such localized and very short-term movements, especially when the ruling side has the full capacity to control the situation at full speed.

Opponents and the circles behind them should finally abandon the hope of the current government’s downfall. Governments do not change thru Facebook announcements, propaganda efforts, and dreams of rule. In Afghanistan today, there is a unitary central control of power, and armed opposition has become leaderless and fragmented. Based on this, the theory of the government’s collapse is a baseless speculation.

Opponents and their supporting circles should understand that relying on imaginary analyzes and succumbing to short-term hopes only increases their confusion. As long as the facts are not viewed from the perspective that exists in the practical field, such deceptive expectations will remain confined to propagandistic comments and analyzes.
