Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held a telephone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to the ministry, the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen Saudi Arabia–U.S relations and expand cooperation across a wide range of sectors.
They also exchanged views on several regional and international issues, including the latest developments in the Middle East.
The leaders discussed the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran and underscored the importance of protecting freedom of maritime navigation and ensuring the security of key international shipping routes.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Trump also reaffirmed their support for efforts aimed at strengthening regional security and stability and advancing peace across the region.
