    Muttaqi and His Kazakh Counterpart Discuss Expansion of Bilateral Relations and Enhancing Political Understanding

    Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with his Kazakh counterpart, Murat Nurtleu, to discuss the expansion of bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional opportunities, transit projects, and enhancing political understanding.

    According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Muttaqi expressed gratitude for Kazakhstan’s positive stance on Afghanistan and expressed hope that the emerging opportunities would be utilized to further develop political and economic engagement.

    He added that Kazakhstan has maintained a constructive position on Afghanistan from the outset, and now is the time to turn this positive engagement into strong and lasting long-term cooperation, in order to deepen trust and partnership between the two nations.

    Meanwhile, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs assured the Afghan side of Afghanistan’s security and stated that his country intends to expand political, economic, and academic cooperation with Afghanistan.

    He emphasized continued dialogue and affirmed that Kazakhstan seeks to play a positive long-term role in Afghanistan’s stability, food security through transit, and overall development.
