Afghan government Deputy Spokesperson, Hamdullah Fitrat, says the National Procurement Commission has approved 562 projects over the past three years, with a combined value of nearly 130.6 billion Afghanis.

He noted that competitive bidding helped save about five billion Afghanis on these contracts and generated thousands of job opportunities for citizens.

Fitrat added that priority was given to key projects aligned with provincial development plans and the essential needs of the country’s citizens.
