Dr. Sharafat Zaman Amarkhil, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health, announced that nearly 200 individuals struggling with drug addiction were discharged today and reunited with their families after completing treatment and recovery at a rehabilitation center under the ministry of Public Health in Kabul.

Dr. Amarkhil added that nearly 70 hospitals and 3,000 healthcare personnel across the country are currently providing treatment services for thousands of drug addicts.

It is worth noting that since the interim government returned to power, tens of thousands of individuals addicted to narcotics have received treatment at relevant hospitals. Upon recovery, they have been returned to their families, a process that remains ongoing.
