Officials from the Kandahar Directorate of Refugees and Repatriation report a sharp rise in the number of Afghan returnees entering the country via the Spin Boldak crossing in recent days.

Abdul Latif Hakimi, head of registration at the Directorate, told the media that while previously only dozens of families returned through this route each day, the figure reaches hundreds of families daily, showing a near twofold increase.

Meanwhile, local authorities in Herat say the expulsion of Afghan refugees from Iran has accelerated following a 12-day war involving the Zionist regime of Israel. According to officials, approximately 60,000 Afghans have been deported from Iran over the past two days.
