Afghanistan’s Ministry of Justice announced that the Special Court for Addressing Cases of Usurped State Lands has ruled that more than 25 jeribs of land in Kabul’s “Customized and Rostam Haidari Township” is state-owned land and ordered its handover to the High Commission for the Prevention of Land Usurpation and the Restitution of Usurped Lands.
According to the ministry, the land is situated in Kabul’s Districts 4 and 17. Following an assessment by the High Commission for the Prevention of Land Usurpation and the Restitution of Usurped Lands, the case was referred to the Special Court in accordance with the law.
The ministry said the court reviewed the occupants’ ownership documents, land registration records, and information provided by relevant government institutions before determining that the land had previously been acquired by the state and is officially registered as state-owned property in Kabul Municipality’s records.
In light of these findings, the court ruled that the entire area belongs to the state and ordered that it be handed over to the High Commission for the Prevention of Land Usurpation and the Restitution of Usurped Lands.
