The National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) says that 381,209 electronic national ID cards were issued during the first three months of the 1405 solar hijri year.
According to the authority, 279,133 cards were issued to men and 102,076 to women.
During the same period, the highest number of electronic ID cards was distributed in Kabul, Nangarhar, and Kandahar provinces.
NSIA figures show that since the start of the electronic ID card distribution program, nearly 17.87 million citizens countrywide have received electronic IDs.
