    Over 65,000 Jiribs of Land Announced As State Property in the Last Month

    The Ministry of Justice announced in a recent press release that, within the past month, more than 65,000 Jiribs (approximately 32,110 acres) of grabbed land have been reclaimed across 11 provinces in the country.

    According to the press release, these lands have been identified and reclaimed in the provinces of Kunduz, Jawzjan, Takhar, Ghazni, Ghor, Paktia, Khost, Zabul, Maidan Wardak, Bamiyan, and Panjshir.

    The report further states that the largest amount of reclaimed land was in Ghazni, totaling over 13,000 Jiribs (approximately 6,422 acres).

    Additionally, the press release mentions that technical committees for preventing land grabbing have identified over 146,000 Jiribs (approximately 71,868 acres) of government land in 18 provinces in the past month. Moreover, over 463,000 Jiribs (approximately 227,533 acres) of land are currently under evaluation in 29 provinces.
