Sources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported to Voice of Hindukush that the Pakistani Taliban launched several separate attacks yesterday, inflicting heavy casualties on government forces and capturing a senior officer alive.

In Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistani Taliban fighters destroyed a police post known as the Vegetable Market post, killing three police officers and seizing a Chinese-made Kalashnikov rifle.

Additionally, the Pakistani Taliban’s intelligence wing captured Mohammad Hanif, a senior officer from Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force, in the Mir Ali district of North Waziristan. He was subsequently taken to an undisclosed location.

Meanwhile, in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistani military forces and local militias ambushed a group of Pakistani Taliban fighters. As a result of the clash, a Pakistani Taliban fighter lost his life, while security forces also suffered heavy casualties.
