Voice of Hindukush sources in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa report that the Pakistani Taliban carried out a targeted attack in the Naurang area of Lakki Marwat district, killing a police officer named Hashim Khan.
According to the sources, the Pakistani Taliban also seized a Kalashnikov rifle during the attack.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s military public relations office stated in a press release that a special forces officer, Hasnain Akhtar, was killed during an exchange of fire in Dera Ismail Khan.
