Pakistan’s Trade Deficit With Neighboring Countries Exceeds $6 Billion

Pakistani media have reported that in the first five months of the current fiscal year, Pakistan’s trade deficit with neighboring countries has exceeded $6 billion.

The Afghan government’s severance of trade agreements and closure of trade routes with the Pakistani regime has been cited as a key factor in the growing deficit.

Around two months ago, Pakistan shut down transit routes along hypothetical Durand Line, later reopening them under conditions set by the Afghan government.

Analysts believe that Pakistan’s economy is at risk of collapse due to the military regime’s policies, failed leadership, and widespread financial corruption.
