Public Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali held a meeting with the Head of the World Food Program, John Ayliffe, and his accompanying delegation.
According to a statement published by the ministry’s spokesperson on X, the discussions centered on expanding public nutrition services, reviewing the program’s ongoing activities, outlining future plans, and strengthening the framework for continued cooperation.
Minister Jalali stressed that the expansion of public nutrition services is one of the country’s most urgent health priorities, underscoring the need for assistance in this sector to be more structured, sustainable, and closely aligned with the genuine needs of citizens.
He further stressed that the Ministry of Public Health remains firmly committed to strengthening joint cooperation with humanitarian organizations to ensure the delivery of high-quality and effective health services across all sectors.
Meanwhile, the Head of the World Food Program reaffirmed his commitment to expanding cooperation in the field of nutrition, stating that the program plans to provide assistance and support to earthquake-affected citizens in Kunar province, as well as returning refugees.
