The removal of the Islamic Emirate from Russia’s list of banned groups has drawn widespread reactions and has been welcomed both domestically and internationally.

Among global media outlets, the Associated Press described the move as a major diplomatic victory for the Taliban (Islamic Emirate).

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi praised Russia’s decision, calling it a significant step forward in the relationship between the two countries.

It is worth noting that Russia had designated the Taliban movement (Islamic Emirate) as a terrorist organization in 2003. However, in a recent session, the Russian Supreme Court formally reversed that designation.
