Using the People’s Name to Justify Political Propaganda

Afghanistan is remembered in the bright pages of history with the title “The Graveyard of Empires,” and over time, it has watched the fall of occupying powers under its blue sky.

Neither England was able to establish a firm foothold in Afghanistan, nor did the former Soviet Union succeed in infiltrating the solid structure of this land, nor could America, with all its tricks and deceptions, manage to survive. All three powers, in a relatively short period, tasted the bitter flavor of defeat and left the soil of Afghanistan in disgrace.

If we state the truth, it was this religious and honorable nation of Afghanistan that, with empty hands and limited resources, rose up in jihad for the truth against falsehood in the face of all these occupying and secular powers, and ultimately emerged victorious.

All these victories and brave stand-offs were to prove that the Afghan nation is a faithful nation and a guardian of Islamic values, and will never allow internal and external elements to erase religious teachings and replace them with anti-religious and immoral plans.

For this reason, any call in Afghanistan that aims for anything other than the promotion of religion and the propagation of Islam is doomed to failure, and although it may be loud, it will be lost among the whispers of the call of truth.

Since the situation in Afghanistan changed after twenty years and the caretaker government adopted Islamic Sharia as the criterion for resolving disputes and making decisions, individuals and groups affiliated with foreign countries and organizations have been trying to tarnish the image of the current situation with seemingly patriotic slogans and attract attention through media and deceptive statements.

Ahmad Massoud, the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud and the current leader of the Resistance Front, has recently announced the joining of more individuals to the ranks of the opposition and is beating the drum of dissent against the Afghan people.

He has said, “The will and desire of the Afghan people to fight against the Taliban has increased.” He added, “Messages of cooperation from the people to confront the Taliban reach me more and more every day.”

He uses the name of the people to justify his political advertisements, but it is unclear which people he means and from which address he speaks? Are these the same people who today proudly live in their free and independent country, content and happy, or are they a few biased figures dependent on foreign powers who have only thought of their personal interests from the resources of this country? Now that the opportunity for their looting, corruption, and illegal businesses abroad has slipped away, do they want to ride on the back of this nation again with their slogans and plunder the national assets?

What truly are the leaders of such fronts and those who openly or secretly support them pursuing? Do they really seek the good of the nation and the country, or are they after their personal desires and goals, believing that they can only achieve them through sowing discord and opposition?

It’s no surprise to say that the people of Afghanistan, after years of war and occupation, have today tasted the true essence of security and peace in this very moment and detest the tumultuous days of the past.

For this reason, these honorable people will never collaborate or conspire with those who seek to destroy their country again, and they will never join hands with those who pursue wrongful and impossible actions.
