Reuters, citing the Kremlin, has reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian are scheduled to meet in Russia on January 17.
Following their meeting, the two leaders will sign a comprehensive agreement on strategic cooperation.
The Kremlin’s announcement stated, “The leaders of Russia and Iran will discuss regional and international issues, as well as decisions regarding the further development of trade, transport, logistics, military, and defense relations between Moscow and Tehran.”
It is worth noting that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov previously mentioned that Moscow and Tehran are considering signing a strategic cooperation agreement that would include extensive military and defense collaborations.
