According to a report by Pakistan’s Geo News, Saudi Arabia has implemented a temporary suspension on issuing visas to citizens of 14 countries, including Pakistan, for Umrah, business, and family visits during the Hajj season.
The source indicates that the visa ban affects citizens from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, and Yemen. This ban is expected to remain in effect until mid-June.
Additionally, the source stated that individuals holding Umrah visas are permitted to travel to Saudi Arabia until April 13.
The Saudi government has officially communicated this temporary visa suspension to the Pakistani authorities.
According to the source, Pakistani citizens who have traveled to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa have been instructed to return to Pakistan by April 29, 2025.
