The death toll from the catastrophic earthquake in Myanmar has risen to 3,471, with 4,671 individuals reported injured. Additionally, 214 people remain missing, according to Reuters.

Heavy rainfall in the affected regions has obstructed the efforts of rescue teams, increasing the risk of disease outbreaks.

The earthquake, which occurred on March 28, was also felt in Thailand, where 24 fatalities have been reported.

This earthquake is considered one of the most severe and destructive to shake Myanmar in recent decades.
