Officials from the Badakhshan provincial police command have reported successfully intercepting a smuggling operation involving 500 sheep in the Ashkashim district.
Ihsanullah Kamgar, spokesperson for the provincial police command, confirmed that security forces in the district prevented the illegal transport of the 500 sheep to Tajikistan.
Kamgar emphasized that the operation was part of ongoing efforts to secure the borders and combat illegal activities, stating that smuggling operations will not be tolerated.
It is also worth noting that border forces had previously halted the smuggling of hundreds of sheep to Pakistan.
