The Ministry of Interior says that security forces discovered and confiscated 28 different firearms and 1,450 rounds of ammunition in the Nari Zhura area of Dand Patan district, Paktia province.
According to the ministry, these weapons and ammunition were being smuggled from Pakistan into Afghanistan, but security forces prevented it.
The Ministry of Interior added that the perpetrators fled the area, and efforts are ongoing by security forces to identify and arrest them.
