    Security Forces Rescue Individual from Kidnappers in Takhar

    The Ministry of Interior states that police from the Kunduz Provincial Command, in coordination with province’s intelligence officers, rescued an individual from kidnappers during an operation in Darqad district of Takhar province.

    According to the Ministry, the individual had been kidnapped a few days earlier from Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province. The kidnappers had demanded $50,000 from the victim’s family in exchange for his release.

    The Ministry added that three individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Upon completion of initial investigations, they will be referred to judicial and legal authorities.
