Sudan’s Prime Minister Kamel Idris, leading a government delegation to New York, presented a comprehensive peace plan to the United Nations Security Council.
The initiative aims to reinforce the ceasefire in Sudan, disarm rapid-response militias, uphold justice, and lay the foundation for sustainable, long-term peace.
At Sudan’s request, the Security Council met on Monday to evaluate the country’s situation after nearly 1,000 days of ongoing conflict.
