    Talks Held on Expanding Cooperation Between the Urban Water Supply Emirate Company and UNICEF

    The Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Emirate Company has announced that its Director, Mawlawi Ghulam-ul- Rahman Kazim, held discussions with UNICEF representatives on strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation.

    According to the statement, the head of UNICEF’s Water and Sanitation section said that, in coordination with the Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Emirate Company, they will play an effective and constructive role in providing safe drinking water and improving the management of sewerage systems.

    She added that UNICEF is working to create opportunities for investment in public-private partnerships in the water and sanitation sector, in order to expand access to water supply services across the country.

    Meanwhile, Mr. Kazim emphasized UNICEF’s role in supporting water supply programs and stated that the Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Emirate Company has provided the necessary facilities to attract private sector investment in water supply projects.
