The Facebook-based Struggle of the Failed Groups and Their Vain Imaginary Promises

With the fall of the republican regime in August 2021, high-ranking officials and power holders fled the country before the occupiers and disgraced themselves. Since the day of their escape, which is now nearing four years, former officials have established councils, groups, exile presidencies, fronts, and organizations in foreign countries under various names, all claiming to fight against the caretaker government in unison. However, instead of real efforts and solutions, they have become victims of internal rivalries, displays, disputes, and false claims and slogans.

The fact that these formed groups and structures have no public support, cohesion, or activities within the country, and are standing on the brink of collapse one after the other, and still continue to do so. Intense disagreements, conflicts, accusations, thefts, competitions, and false Facebook promises to the people among them have replaced their broad and strategic plan, strategy, and steady path.

It has been about four years since members and leaders of opposition groups have been promising in their interviews, virtual meetings, and Facebook announcements to eliminate the caretaker government, fight against it, and bring it down. Some even predicted a few months of rule, while others set deadlines until the Eid, but were also mocked on social media like political jokes.

However, these promises not only went unfulfilled The caretaker government has control over the entire country, all special days and ceremonies are held in a secure environment, there are no opposing groups present, and internal security challenges within the country have been reduced to almost zero. The internal structures of the regime are strengthening day by day, and no signs of collapse have been observed. However, when online leaders of opposing groups describe the situation in Afghanistan as tense and spread rumors of impending collapse, they are mocked by social media activists, and their entire noise is considered limited to Facebook statements.

The leaders of the opposing groups have come forward with grand claims, but not only have they not posed any challenge to the caretaker government in the past four years, but the caretaker government has also been able to strengthen and stabilize the internal structures of the system, take steps towards international legitimacy, and continue to work on expanding interactions.

Alongside their dark past, the opponents have now resorted to a futile and invisible form of opposition, one that is confined to Facebook announcements; on one hand, their fruitless Facebook struggle, and on the other hand, the people’s hatred, which has developed over twenty years due to the rule of corrupt regimes, will never allow them to fulfill their sinister ambitions.
