The associates of Ahmad Shah Massoud, a prominent figure in Afghanistan’s civil war, were not only the main leaders of the civil wars, but also involved in various dealings with the intelligence agencies of countries like Russia, the USA, Britain, and France. Moreover, after his death, they directly aligned with the Americans following the US invasion of Afghanistan and lived under occupation for two decades.

Among these individuals was General Muhammad Davod, who was one of the first to stand shoulder to shoulder with Masoud and was involved in many secret and nefarious dealings with foreigners. He offered his services to the Americans at the same time as the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan and launched a ruthless war against his own people. He committed numerous atrocities in northern Afghanistan, killing many innocent people under various pretexts, torturing many, forcing many to flee their homes, and significantly exacerbating discord among the ethnic groups and tribes in the north of the country.

He was one of the closest collaborators of American and NATO forces in the north, who resorted to any wrongful actions to please them and made great efforts to implement American projects in the north. In return for these services, the Americans granted him the rank of field marshal and encouraged him to provide even more services.

He was finally killed in special operations in the month of Jawza in 1390 after systematically killing, torturing, and imprisoning many people in the north. After his death, many people in the north breathed a sigh of relief and were safe from his tyranny. Additionally, Americans and other Western countries became somehow sad over his death and considered it a significant loss for themselves and the implementation of their projects.

It was not only Davod who left a dark legacy in history by serving the Americans and Western occupation, as well as oppressing his own people, but there were and still are many others, especially Masood, who have also followed in the footsteps of their ancestors. They have sold their homeland, shed the blood of their people, safeguarded their own and their families’ interests, and made many unnecessary sacrifices to please their foreign masters, with some even sacrificing their own lives.
