    Transportation via the Country’s Railway Lines Increases by 33.3 Percent

    The Ministry of Public Works says that from the beginning of the solar month of Hamal to the end of Dalwa of the current year 1404 (Solar Hijri), a total of 538,754,049 metric tons of goods were transported via Afghanistan’s railway lines.

    The ministry adds that during the 11 months of last year 1403 (Solar Hijri), 40,408,055 metric tons were transported, and that the volume of transportation carried out this year shows a 33.3 percent increase compared to last year.

    These transports were carried out through the Hairatan, Aqina, Torghundi, and Khaf–Herat railway lines, and included both petroleum and non-petroleum goods.
