U.S. Embassy in Pakistan Warns Citizens to Stay Away from Faisal Mosque

The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad has advised its citizens to avoid Faisal Mosque due to potential security threats.

The advisory follows the circulation of a video on social media earlier this week, in which an individual is seen drawing the flag of the Pakistani Taliban on a white sheet and standing with it near the mosque.

Security analysts note that the Pakistani Taliban attacks against the government have intensified in recent years. Once operating in mountainous regions, they now have expanded their operations into urban areas, heightening concerns about the possibility of attacks throughout the country.
